Barnardo's Big Toddle

St Gabriel’s Sandleford and Reception children pulled on their wellies for a sponsored walk in the school grounds in support of Barnardo’s Big Toddle. This year’s theme was 'nature' and with that in mind many of the children and staff dressed up for the occasion: there were butterflies, ladybirds, and lots of other lovely costumes with flowers, animals and minibeasts.

The weather was kind to us as everyone embarked on their toddle around the grounds. The lake area looked magnificent with all the purple rhododendrons in full bloom and for many of our visiting parents and relatives it was their first chance to have a closer look at the grounds that the children are able to enjoy on a daily basis. On completion of the 'toddle' everyone enjoyed gathering together for afternoon tea in the marquee. The staff would like to thank everyone for coming to make the event such a success.

The total raised as at 18 June is over £548.

Visitors to St Gabriel's quickly recognise that this is no ordinary school. Parents are always impressed by the sense of purpose and enthusiasm of the talented, committed staff and the confidence of the extremely happy pupils. We offer girls the opportunity for a seamless journey from Nursery through to Sixth Form, with our boys leaving us at the age of 11 for their senior schools.
