Y10 Jane Austen Tea Party

Accomplished young ladies from year 10 strolled around the lawns and took tea in the marquee, complete with fine china, flowers on the tables and an array of home-baked cakes. Several girls delighted us with their readings from Pride and Prejudice as well as a beautiful performance from Juliette, singing a Mozart composition. Girls were instructed in a few new accomplishments, such as cross stitch, charcoal sketching and playing a few hands of whist. There were surprise visits from Mr Darcy, Mr Bingley and Mr Collins as the afternoon progressed, with a final Regency-inspired dance for all at the end, rounding off a fabulous afternoon.

Jane Austen Afternoon Tea

Visitors to St Gabriel's quickly recognise that this is no ordinary school. Parents are always impressed by the sense of purpose and enthusiasm of the talented, committed staff and the confidence of the extremely happy pupils. We offer girls the opportunity for a seamless journey from Nursery through to Sixth Form, with our boys leaving us at the age of 11 for their senior schools.
