The Governors and Principal of St Gabriel’s are committed to making St Gabriel's accessible to pupils who would otherwise not be able to enjoy the benefits of the education we offer.
Our bursaries, known as Montagu Awards, are means-tested and reviewed annually. They are available to the parents and or guardians of children entering the Senior School and Sixth Form and may be awarded in the form of a discount of up to 100% on fees, depending on the financial, compassionate or other pertinent circumstances of applicants.
Montagu Awards, made at the Principal's discretion, are offered to students who show particular academic ability or to Art, Performing Arts or Sports scholars.
Any parent or guardian seeking a bursary must register their child for a place in the Senior School or Sixth Form. Montagu Award candidates are required to sit the school’s entrance examinations and be offered a place in the Senior School or Sixth Form before their application is considered. Candidates will be informed in writing before the start of the Spring Term 2024 whether they have been successful.
All bursary award applications should be submitted through our Montagu Award Online Platform by Friday, 20 October 2023 (for Autumn Term 2024 entry). In addition, the application should be supported by a written recommendation from a child’s current Head Teacher. Please refer to the Montagu Award Guidance, below, when completing your application.
