Return to School

St Gabriel's is looking forward to welcoming pupils back in to school from 7 September.  To support the return both Junior & Senior School Arrangements Booklets have been created to provide guidance on how the School will operate.

Junior School

The staff will make the Autumn Term as normal as possible for all children and have worked hard to set up safe systems and routines.

A child-friendly version of this booklet will be available for your child to support their return and Class teachers will provide further information relevant to each year group during the first week back in school.

Senior School

The Senior School staff are looking forward to welcoming all girls back into school.  This booklet explains the how the school will operate and Form Tutors will go through the arrangements again at the start of the Autumn Term. The Heads of School will also be sending out a video to help pupils familiarise themselves with the new arrangements.

Director of Music, Dr Tebbs will be in touch before the start of term to explain arrangements for peripatetic music lessons from 7 September and Mrs Goodman-Mills will be in touch with those requiring school transport.

Wearing of Masks

Regarding the use of face coverings, as per the updated government guidelines (25/08/20), we are happy for Senior School girls and staff to wear their own masks in corridors and communal areas should they wish. However, at this time it is not mandatory. We feel that we have put extensive measures in place, along with good sanitisation to allow school to function effectively. Please be aware that the guidance is updated regularly and often at short notice and all our measures are under constant review with any subsequent changes to policy and practice.

Please be aware these arrangement are subject to constant review and change at short notice and ask that you as a family follow government guidelines closely, outside of school, to ensure that the safety of our school community is not compromised in any way.

We are so looking forward to having pupils back in school.
